STUDENT-CENTERED LEARNING, TEACHING and EVALUATION of the GRADUATE SCHOOL of NATURAL and APPLIED SCIENCES
The teaching method makes the student active and is interactive learning oriented. Among all education types (formal, distance, mixed), approaches that are compatible with the nature of the relevant education type and prioritize student-centered, competency-based, process and performance-oriented, interdisciplinary, integrative, case/practice-based learning are included. The focus is on deep learning, student interest, motivation and commitment rather than knowledge transfer.
The midterm exam calendar is prepared by the department heads on a semester basis for all courses conducted in the departments of our institute, and the midterm exam results carried out within the framework of this calendar are evaluated out of 100 points. Exams are held within the announced calendar.
Student opinions (course, course instructor, diploma program, service and general satisfaction level, etc.) are systematically and in various ways, used effectively and the results are shared. It has been ensured that the methods used are valid and reliable, and that the data are consistent and representative. There are various channels for student complaints and/or suggestions, they are known to students, and their fair and effective functioning is controlled.
There is a supervisor who follows the academic development of the student, gives direction and supports academic problems and career planning.
